Post Self - Drive Insurance needed, please help.

Hello everyone,

I own a self drive company and for 3 years and I'm struggle to find reasonable price for self drive insurance cover. Most brokers quote me as a new business with a price for one car ~ £3000 a year. This is too much for us now. We got only 3 cars and to pay an extra £750 a month for insurance will be deadly for my business as this cars do not generate enough income. Therefore I'm asking my clients to get insurance themselves, but this is not a best idea. As you might see, we stuck between two fires, on one side - expensive insurance, on another - unprofessional approach to the clients. I used some daily insurance before, but as their excess is 10% from the cost of the car, and cheapest car costs £25,000, none of the clients will be happy to put their signature under this kind of conditions.

Another question. How and where do I obtain a collision damage waver facility?

Will appreciate any piece of advice.

Kind regards.

The price does not seem surprising, they are nice cars and this is hire.

What about if you go with the daily, the hirers can also get excess insurance daily and you could roll this into the price

It depends where you are operating from aswell - You don't really have enough vehicles to justify a fleet quote so I agree a daily system would be your best bet. there are various options out there I could possibly get you some quotes if you are interested.
